Antonio Aricò was invited by Tumo Studios in Armenia to lead a 3 weeks workshop. TUMO Studios is a non-profit educational program focusing on the design & creation of analog products - things you can touch, wear, taste and cherish. The Center is based on “educational workshops,” in fashion, jewelry, embroidery, pottery, printing, product design and the culinary arts. Inspired by Armenia’s rich artisanal heritage, TUMO Studios combines local know-how with contemporary methods and design trends. Antonio together with the participants decided to work on the themes of superstition and the “magical”. The result is a Collection of Mirrors that will be sold at the Tumo Studios Shop. The inspiration came from Armenian Stories about amulets and traditions and is an eulogy to the incredible work Sergei Parajanov whom work inspired Italian Film Directors such as Federico Fellini and Pier Paolo Pasolini.
